Three core values of Inside Out Church:

Authenticity

Audaciousness

Availability

At our church, we hold fast to three powerful values—each one beginning with the letter A—that shape everything we do, guiding our community and mission.

These values aren’t just words; they’re principles we live by every day. Let’s explore how these three “A’s” inspire us to grow in faith, love, and service.

Value 1: Authenticity

We believe in being real, both with God and with one another. We don’t pretend to have it all together or hide behind masks. Instead, we embrace vulnerability, celebrate our imperfections, and come together as a genuine, imperfect community, united by grace.

We believe in the authentic and transformative power of the gospel in the lives of ordinary individuals and that God works through everyday people—people who face struggles, triumphs, doubts, and joys—and that each person's story is significant in God's redemptive plan.

When we say "real people with real stories," we acknowledge that every believer has a unique journey. Some may have grown up in faith, while others may have come to Christ later in life, or even experienced profound struggles before encountering God’s grace. Regardless of where we are in our walk with Christ, God’s grace is available to all. Authentic stories of faith often include struggles with sin, pain, and brokenness, but they also highlight redemption, healing, and transformation.

Authenticity also means embracing our imperfections and growing together as a community of believers who encourage one another on the journey. It’s about celebrating the fact that we’re all works in progress, and yet, we’re deeply loved by God as we are.

Value 2: Audaciousness

At our church, another one of the core values we hold dear is Audaciousness. We define audaciousness as having the boldness to dream big, the courage to take risks, and the faith to believe that God can do the impossible through us.

We’re not content with a faith that’s safe or small. Audacious faith means stepping out in confidence, trusting that God will lead us into new, uncharted territories for His glory. It’s the kind of faith that dares to believe that God is capable of extraordinary things, both in our lives and in the world around us. We believe that with God, nothing is impossible.

This value of audaciousness compels us to:

  • Dream Big: We’re a church that doesn’t settle for what’s comfortable. We dream for our village and our ‘Tarn’, a world, and a future transformed by the power of the gospel.

  • Take Bold Steps: We believe in stepping out in faith, even when the path ahead looks uncertain. Whether it’s reaching out to our community, serving the marginalized, or taking on a new project, we move forward with bold action.

  • Trust God for the Impossible: Audaciousness means believing that God can do more than we could ever ask or imagine. We approach every challenge, every opportunity, and every season of life with unshakable trust in God’s power and provision.

In short, audaciousness is the spirit of living out our faith without limits, embracing the unknown with confidence, and boldly following where God leads us. It’s not about being reckless; it’s about being fearless, trusting that the God who called us is greater than anything we face.

Value 3: Availability

To us at Inside Out Church our third value, availability reflects our commitment to being present, accessible, and supportive to both the one another in our church family as well as the broader community.

We practice Open Doors, and Open Hearts

Our church is a welcoming space where anyone can come for refuge, support, or connection. We also strive to be approachable and eliminating barriers, ensuring that no one feels excluded or overlooked by being attentive to the spiritual needs of others, offering guidance, prayer, and encouragement.

We try to be a church that fosters an environment where people can seek God without judgment, and questions about faith are met with kindness and understanding.

We make ourselves emotionally available and prioritise listening, empathy, and walking alongside people through their joys and struggles by simply being present in times of need.

We like to show up where people are—in their homes, workplaces, schools, or community events as well as helping to meet people’s tangible needs, where church becomes a tangible representation of Christ’s love through acts of service.

We want our availability to be a profound reflection of God’s nature—always ready, always present, always loving, so that our church is a beacon of hope, a safe haven, and a powerful force for good in the world.
