A little bit about us
We are an exciting new Elim church led by Richard and Klaudia Cairns in the heart of Mapplewell, Barnsley, compelled by the incredible love of Jesus to bring His life-changing message to every corner of our village and our town.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to create a vibrant community where everyone can find belonging, experience growth, and be transformed by the good news of the Jesus.
We believe that God’s love has the power to transform lives from the inside out—healing, restoring, and empowering us to live with purpose.

Our Sunday services are held at the church hall of the Staincross Christian Fellowship church building in Mapplewell on Spark Lane, S75 6AA. There’s a free car park right next to the church, and it’s usually quiet on Sundays, making parking easy and stress-free for your visit!
We start at 2:30pm. Our services are contemporary, informal and family friendly. Once they get going they usually include a time of worship, a teaching from the Bible, stories of transformation and often a chance to discuss what we are learning together.
On the first Sunday of each month, we do things a little differently. Instead of our usual gathering, we come together around the table to share food, connect with one another, and experience the warmth and welcome of community—just as Jesus intended.

Our Story
The year 2011 was a turning point for our family. It all began on April 2nd, the day Richard attended Klaudia’s baptism—not out of personal interest but, as he put it, “just to avoid an argument.”
